Studio Glass Bowl – Hans Wudy for Glasfachschule Zwiesel, 2012

This glossy black studio glass bowl features an opal-orange overlay that appears suspended at its centre, creating a strong optical effect reminiscent of a solar eclipse. Produced by the Glasfachschule Zwiesel after a design by Hans Wudy (German glass designer, educator and former director of the school) it combines restrained geometry with technically accomplished colour work.
