A trio of porcelain vases by AK Kaiser, designed by Manfred Frey, combining matte bisque porcelain with a glossy glazed upper section. Each piece features an organic relief pattern that introduces movement and texture while keeping the overall forms calm and balanced.

  • Dimensions:
    • Large vase: H 20 cm
    • Tall narrow vase: H 19 cm
    • Small vase: H 17 cm
  • Material: Bisque porcelain with glossy glazed upper section
  • Brand: AK Kaiser
  • Designer: Manfred Frey
  • Color: White
  • Era: 1970s
  • Origin: Germany
  • Condition: Excellent vintage condition; no chips, cracks, or restorations. Minimal wear consistent with age and careful use.
  • Remarks: Set of three

This trio has a very balanced, tactile presence. The contrast between matte and gloss gives the surfaces a quiet rhythm, while the relief pattern adds just enough movement to keep the white porcelain from feeling too strict.

AK Kaiser (known as Alboth & Kaiser until 1970) is a German porcelain manufacturer founded in 1872 by August Alboth in Coburg. Now based in Bad Staffelstein, the company is celebrated for its fine white bodies, detailed bisque relief vases and figurines, as well as richly decorated tableware. Over the decades Kaiser porcelain has become a household presence in Germany and a favourite among collectors looking for refined yet accessible “fine china”.
