Trio of hand-thrown studio vases by East German ceramist Albert Kiessling, whose Langenhessen workshop is renowned for crystalline and shrink “snakeskin” glazes achieved through a resist wax process. Softly rounded bottle forms in matte blue, cyan and earthy brown crackle glazes emphasize the tactile, sculptural character of each piece.
