A crisp white porcelain vase with a broad, low body and gently tapering neck, defined by a continuous labyrinth relief that wraps the surface in a measured geometric rhythm. The glossy glaze keeps the form clean and luminous, while the raised pattern brings a subtle play of shadow that gives the piece more depth than a plain white finish would allow.

  • Dimensions: H 14 cm, W 19 cm
  • Material: Glazed porcelain
  • Brand: Heinrich H&C Selb Bavaria
  • Color: White
  • Era: Mid-century modern, 1960s
  • Origin: Germany
  • Condition: Very good vintage condition; minimal signs of age and use. No visible cracks or repairs.

What stands out here is the balance between softness and order. The silhouette feels calm and rounded, almost generous, while the relief introduces a sharper graphic structure associated with German modernist porcelain of the 1960s. It is a piece that reads quietly at first, then becomes more interesting the closer you look.

Heinrich & Co. (often marked H&Co Selb Bavaria) was founded in 1896 in Selb, Bavaria by porcelain painter Franz Heinrich (1876–1928), evolving from decorated whiteware into full porcelain production from the early 1900s and becoming a major Selb maker of high-quality tableware. After the company was integrated into Villeroy & Boch in 1976, the Selb site became known for bone china production from 1980; today the standalone Heinrich line is largely considered discontinued, with collectors especially valuing its refined dinner services and decorative giftware/vases bearing the classic Selb marks.
