Hand-built ceramic vessel with an elongated horizontal form, rectangular opening and incised zigzag decoration in muted blue-green tones. Its asymmetric construction and emphasis on line and negative space reflect the influence of ikebana and late-modern European studio ceramics.
- Dimensions: H 17 cm, W 53 cm, D 11 cm
- Material: Glazed ceramic
- Designer: Unidentified
- Color: Blue-green
- Condition: Very good vintage condition with minor signs of age and careful handling; no major damage observed
- Era: Circa 1970s–1990s
- Origin: Northern Europe, possibly Germany or the Netherlands
- Remarks: Incised unidentified maker’s monogram inside the reservoir; appears to be hand-built using slab construction
Its wide, low proportions make the vessel particularly effective on a dining table, console or long sideboard. Use it for a minimal ikebana arrangement with one or two branches, or display it unfilled to emphasise its unusual geometry and textured decoration.
